Blue Short Suit + Pink Lace Blouse

Hello Friends, Happy Friday!
As you read this post I am up in the air somewhere over the Atlantic on my way to Miami for my friend’s Bachelorette weekend. I am so excited to spend some quality time with her and our friends. It will be great fun. When packing for a trip, I tend to always over pack take items i don’t need or use while on the trip and can never decide on what outfit i can wear on each day so I have to bring options. Its has always been a fashion struggle to commit and just wear what works for the actual trip and the activities I will do.  As I figure out what ways I can better prepare and pack for a trip I do have some easy travel tips for short flights within the United States. I was recently learning and researching ways I can incorporate the capsule experiment  into my summer wardrobe. They say that implementing a theme or color to your outfits when traveling can decide and commit to outfits that can work together and create more than one look with few pieces. Its something that i need to constantly work on to be a better traveler and ultimately a better packer.

This outfit is just Fabulous! It makes me feel like a character out of the TV show Miami Vice. With all the color and structured suits  with an island feel it was so easy to be there and solve a case in style. Its also a perfect outfit to end this week and April in true Vintage Miami Vice style. In a matter of fact it gives me an ideas to do a series of favorite tv shows and their main characters fashion sense of style. I did it when Scandal first came into our lives. What to Wear when You’re Olivia Pope. It need to come this fall when Prime time returns. Its decided. Coming soon to a new outfit series inspired my TV.

Maroon Blazer + Green Polka Dot Blouse

Hello Friends, Happy Monday!
I am super excited because I have a birthday this week! I am turning a year older and it is a blessing that I get to see. Yesterday, As I was driving to church, I was listening to the Grace Church sermon as I always do and I heard something profound that has stuck with me and compelled me to share it on Snapchat and Facebook. Its something that we always need to stay true to: OURSELVES! He said this, YOU WERE BORN AN ORIGINAL, DON'T DIE A COPY! Isn't this statement so true! When we are not focused on our own gifting, talents and skills and working toward or in our purpose, we sometimes compare ourselves to others instead of working on the very thing that makes us unique and special! Isnt this life lesson right on time to not only motivate you this week but to keep you grounded, focused and centered on what I can give to the world and not what others think i should or copying another person's story to get the same result. One thing I know for sure is that Different People are different! So guess what, I am doing to do? I am going to take this life lesson and apply it to 2016 and take it as a gift for my birthday!

Black Flower Open Front Jacket + The Bear T-shirt

Hello Friends, Happy Friday!
Don't you just love this T-shirt?  I am an avid viewer of Shark Tank and was so inspired by Umano, a company that uses children's art to make t-shirts and proceeds will go to a backpack full of art supplies to inspire more creativity. Its a beautiful concept that inspires the next generation of artists and creators. I wanted to support the movement so I bought the t-shirt and I love it! It gives this outfit so much swag and stylishness. Its the perfect weekend outfit by the way because its Friday and you have to wear it to welcome the fun. Maybe I'll go to the zoo to see a real bear or two. The t-shirt is actually giving me ideas of how to spend my spring weekends. Anyway please check out Umano and support them because we all need more beauty in this world.

Hello Friends, Happy Wednesday!
What do you wear to work on a gorgeous Spring day like this? You wear a trench coat of course. This outfit inspires me to wear more color and to have fun with fashion. I  layered this pattern shirt over the chambray shirt for warmth and visual interest. It gives the look a fun casual twist. Having a closet full of interesting pieces gives me a creative boost to constantly push my style to the next level.

5 Ways to DRINK MORE Water Everyday

Hello Friends, Happy Tuesday!
If you are like me, its been my mission this year to get stronger and healthy in 2016! I wanted to start off small and begin with finding more ways I can drink water everyday. I was also inspired by this article last summer How to Drink More Water. There are so many different articles and information about the benefits of drinking water. Here are a few that stuck with me. Since I am dedicated to including water in my daily tasks here are 5 ways I drink more water every chance I get.

A very wise blogger (aka Mattieologie) once taught me that preparation is the guaranteed way to get to your daily goals accomplished such as drinking more water. In order to drink water first thing in the morning is  place a glass of water on my bedside table before I go to sleep. That way when I wake up its the first thing I see when I open my eyes and there is no decision to be made, its just for me to do it and move on to the next task of my morning routine. Drinking water first thing in the morning not only wakes you up but gives you that jumpstart to being productive and actually getting things done.

One of my goals with drinking more water is drinking 64oz or 8 glasses of water daily and the way I can do that is to take water with me everywhere. I have a reusable plastic water bottle that is filled in the morning and everyday I finish that water  and refill it I feel like I am getting closer to my goal of being healthier and stronger in 2016.

Since I have decided that I am drinking more water daily, it has become a lot easier to make a decision when eating a meal. I am so used drinking my favorite fruit juice with my food and now that I drink water and feel healthier and cleaner in my body. It has become easier to choose water over juice or any other sugar filled drink. Even when I eat at restaurants I stick with water with my meals. It saves me that extra $3 add to my bill.

After research and talking with my friends I have found that drinking warm water has a lot of health benefits with your digestive system and skin health. Its something that I need to get used to because I am not a fan of sour tastes but I know I need to train my body to think and act differently in order to see the long term benefits. I already feel better especially since I drink warm lemon water after breakfast or before I go to sleep.

I have not tried this way get but I can say that drinking more water gets you to choose healthier options for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. I do make green smoothies and eat fruit and vegetables now that water is becoming more of a habit.

What ways are you going to try drinking more water?
