Hello Friends, Happy Monday!
Welcome November, Hello to a brand new week! This month's theme is all about generosity. This is the quality of being kind, understanding and not selfish. It is all about giving of ones self to another freely with love and expecting nothing in return. Being generous is a character trait. Its something that people just naturally have in their blood but I also believe it can be learned and practiced in our daily lives. November is all about the fall weather, football and thanksgiving which is the perfect time to reflect on our gratefulness and spend quality time with family and close friends. Its all about being present and creating memories to last a lifetime. I wanted to focus on giving back this month on appreciating all that I have and sharing it with others through lessons and experiences I have learned along the way.
This quote by William Arthur Ward says it all, " The more generous we are, the joyous we become, the more cooperative we are, the more valuable we become. The more enthusiastic we are, the more productive we become. The more serving we are, the more prosperous we become." When we learn to give more than we receive, we gain a whole lot more than we expected. Have you heard its better to give than to receive? I have learn this life lesson while volunteering my time with small children. When we are open to giving back we open ourselves to the simple joys of life. Children are so innocent that they just exude joy, and excitement in everything they do and those traits are contagious that I always feel like I have gained more than I gave. All we need to do is to start with a grateful heart. This month, I will share with you three different ways we can be generous and practice it every day especially during the holiday season.
TIME: Our time is something that we can always give! Its planning ahead and making efforts to really help out.
TREASURE: We can all give a small portion of our money to an organization or person in need.
TALENT: Our passions, hobbies and skills can definitely help out a cause that can use our talents.
Through these next thirty days, I will dive in these three areas and really create opportunties to really be generous through the rest of the year! Maybe I should create a challenge. I'll call it the thirty days of giving.
Thank you for Reading. Until Next time.
