Make a Style Statement This Labor Day!

Guess What Friends, its Labor Day and quite frankly you, and yes you deserve a break! Did you know that Labor Day is the creation of the labor movement; it is also a day that celebrates the social and economic achievements and contributions of American Workers in these United States. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. I know you have been working; hustling making those dreams a reality. Whatever you do as career professional I hope you took this weekend to relax, whether you explore and discover new adventures in the city or spend the day at a friend’s backyard barbecue please take this time to reflect, relax, refocus and re-energize yourself for a brand new season and kick into the third phase of the year! Since we are slowly entering the In between Season of Late Summer, Early Fall when deciding what to wear I would stick with summer classics with a few light layers for a perfect transitional stylish outfit. However you decide to spend this last summer weekend of the year, I'm here with my labor day outfit inspirations that definitely make a long weekend stylish statement.

A Labor Day Outfit

If you going to a Backyard Barbecue with all the eating of hamburgers and hotdogs, playing outdoor games and chatting, hanging with friends are all the staples of a classic barbecue and with your outfit you want to go comfortable and casual with a stylish twist. The outfit below is a great option because it is a step up from the tee and jeans by elevating it to a silk red sleeveless top paired with distressed jeans, tribal print sandals, a chunky grey cardigan, a turquoise cross body,  gold jewelry and classic Ray-Bans to complete the look. This outfit inspires  and embodies everything about summer because the outfit reflects that, in a way I totally get the true Summer Americana vibe.

If you are in favor of exploring and discovering the city you live in. Keeping in the same Americana vibe and same elements of the outfit above, I would definitely wear white on Labor Day. If you have not, worn white this summer now is your chance. Using white as the main color, I styled everything to match the lightness and effortless style that this outfit brings with bright Summer colors to compliment the entire look. I especially like the kimono style coverup pulled together with the floral statement necklace and the bright red bag.

Whatever you decide to do this weekend, seriously take time to relax and enjoy your time with friends, or family and most of all have fun because you know like me, it’s back to reality coming Tuesday, September 2!
