The SkirtDress

This photo shoot with photographer friend,  Fabrice Pascale Joesph was my favorite to date. We took these photos on the very first warm day in spring this year. I felt like I was in my element frolicking in the fields of this beautuful mansion in the heart of Rockville, Maryland.

Did you know that this skirt is actually a dress. I dreamt of this outfit. It came to me in my dreams in the early hours of my morning like most of my creative ideas come from. So I woke up tried it on and Voila! Here it is! I like the contrast of the girlieness of the skirt and the trendy aspect of my ankle boots it makes it so modern.

This brown leather jacket is borrowed from my sister's closet. It makes this outfit feel bohemian/classic style which describes my personal style perfectly. I feel like myself and most stylish here.

My necklace is a special piece, its Congolese. I spotted this gem from my latest trip to the Democratic Republic of the Congo in a local Arts and jewelry market in the city of Lumbumbashi.  I like mixing my heritage pieces with my personal style. It makes this necklace unique and special to me.

(Outfit Details: Skirt: Zara, White Shirt: H&M, Ankle Boots: Gifted, Leather Jacket: Borrowed)
