Feza's Toasted CAM Sandwich

On Sunday afternoons, my sister Feza and I usually make a light lunch after church. This sandwich is a variation of a childhood lunch treat we used to love: the beloved Toasted Cheese & Tomato Sandwich.

To make Feza's Toasted CAM (Cheese/Avocado/Ham) Sandwich, here is what you will need.

Potato Bread (Dutch Country Premium) or any other sliced bread
Any Deli Meat (ex. Ham, Turkey)
Cheese, Sliced ( ex. American, Sharp Cheddar)
Butter (light)
Black Pepper (Optional)
Salt (Optional)
Lemon (Optional)
George Foreman Grill (or skillet)

* You can make this sandwich without the sliced meat if desired.

Start with 2 slices of Potato Bread, add a little bit of butter to each slice. Layer two cheese slices on one slice of bread, add the deli meat of your choice, and then add two tomato slices on top. Season the tomato slices with black pepper and then cut the avocado slices horizontally and place them on top of the tomato slices. Season the avocado with a squeeze of lemon and a dash of salt.

Lightly butter the top of each bread slice before placing the sandwich onto the George Foreman grill (or skillet) for approximately 3 minutes or until bread is completely toasted.

Feza's Toasted CAM Sandwich is served with a refreshing glass of orange juice and a fruit salad for a healthy lunch meal.
